Rehabilitation and Adaptation of the Premises 15 and 16 of the old Municipal Slaughterhouse to be converted to an Exhibition Centre for the ARCO Collection. Madrid, 2006
Architects: Hermoso & Heimannsfeld
The rehabilitation of the premises 15 and 16 of the antique municipal slaughterhouse in Legazpi includes exhibition areas, restaurant workshops and storage for the artworks owned by Arco, as well as a series of classrooms and workshops for students. By using the different floor levels, the fluid spaces created allow ease of movement between the different areas, whilst maintaining the original structures and roofs.
